Suddenly Halfway Through Your Life?

What would you do if, this evening, you discovered that today was the precise halfway point of your life? I have often thought about my mortality and I know exactly what I'd like to happen when I die, but what if you knew exaclty when that would be?

For me it would be an immense relief. To know that I'm not going to grow old in this country would be an absolute blessing, seeing how our older population gets treated. I would withdraw from my company's pension scheme straightaway and although I wouldn't go mad spending money, I would certianly be a bit more "flash with the cash" lol

My decision not to have kids would be 101% certain, since that wouldn't be fair on anybody. Oh and I'd probably start studying for a totally different career and quit my job as soon as possible.

What do you think you would do if you knew you have as many years left as you've already lived? I am curious to know how answers will differ depending on how old you are.

Oh yes, Dusty doesn't just post frivolous rubbish *grin* ...

Well thinking about the question, I guess I would reflect on just hold I am. That would tell me how much time I have left. To have another 27 years, I would probably ditch school and only work if and when the need arised. As the time grew nearer to the final days, laws would cease to have meaning and I would do the things I wanted to do regardless of legality. Shrugs whoever knows.

if I were to figure out that I only had half of my life left, I would want to travel some. not to big places like Hawaii or anything, just around the country. I also think that I would see life differently. Knowing exactly when I would die, and things like that. I just think that you seem to respect life more if you would know. If I think of anything else, I'l post back.

Well, since I don't play what-if games, I think I wouldn't act any different. Everybody dies.
